Tyler School of Art’s Architecture Department houses the Temple University Chapter of Freedom by Design, the AIAS community service program. Winner of the 2009 Temple Heroes Award, Freedom By Design allows architecture students to work with disabled individuals and their families from communities across the Delaware Valley. The aim is to work on small projects and offer modifications to living spaces to improve the safety, comfort, and dignity of the homes for these individuals and families. For further information about the Temple Chapter of Freedom by Design, contact Valentina Cleary (vcleary@temple.edu).
